In 2025 the current Hotel Shakespeare building in Barcaldine will reach its 100 year milestone.

Celebrations featuring the hotel are being planned for 8-10 August 2025.

139 Years or 100 Years?

First Hotel Building

The first Hotel – the Shakspeare – was transported from Pine Hill in 1886 to the site of the current building. The name was changed to Hotel Shakespeare in the early 1900s.
